Welcome to the homepage for the Gainesville Gem & Mineral Society!
This is a club whose members enjoy collecting, studying. observing, preserving, and sharing nature's bounty of rocks, minerals, fossils, gemstones, jewelry, lapidary and geological sciences. Some of our activities include field trips to quarries, mines, caves, and museums.
We have demonstrations of faceting, rock cutting, intarsia, silver & goldsmithing, jewelry techniques, etc. as well as hosting lectures, DVD programs, and auctions. If you have interest in any of these activities, come join us as a guest at our next meeting and enjoy the comradery of others with like interest.

Meetings
GGMS meetings are currently being held at 2:00 PM on the second Sunday of each month at GTEC, 2153 SE Hawthorne Road, Gainesville, FL 32641
